Melting Pot Storytelling tonight at the Occupy ICE L.A. camp!

BUSted Los Angeles, A Rrose In a Prose REVIVAL!, and Occupy ICE L.A. are presenting Melting Pot, a storytelling show devoted to immigrants and tales of immigration. It will be held outside The Metropolitan Detention Center (535 N. Alameda Ave) –but actually we’re around the corner on Aliso, the street that borders the 101 highway–just look for the #OccupyICELA tents!)

This show will have a fluid lineup of storytellers, comedians, poets and other spoken word performers, sharing their stories of Immigration, acceptance and community!

ALL ARE WELCOME TO SHARE THEIR STORIES IN ALL LANGUAGES!!

The people being detained in the center will be able to hear your stories and feel your support.

This show is free, and will run until all stories to be told have been shared. Things start at 7 p.m.

This is an FREE outdoor event–pets, children, and braggarts welcome, in any language (and we mean that!). But please leave your drugs, racism, and violence at home.

LOCATION: The Occupy ICE L.A. encampment, which is on Aliso around the corner from the Metro Detention Center entrance: 535 N Alameda St, Los Angeles, California 90012.
