Reader Bio: Kim Cooper

When the third generation Angeleno isn’t combing old newspapers for forgotten scandals, she is a passionate advocate for historic preservation of signage, vernacular architecture and writer’s homes. Between 1992 and 2006, Kim was the editrix of Scram, a journal dedicated to “rooting out the cashews in the bridge mix of unpopular culture.” Career highlights include lunching with Rod McKuen, holding Tiny Tim’s freakishly soft hands and reuniting The Music Machine.
