Author Bio: Allison Wolfe

After the demise of Bratmobile and riot grrrl, Allison continued to be active in bands such as Cold Cold Hearts, Deep Lust, Partyline, and Cool Moms. In 1999-2000, she initiated Ladyfest, a non-profit, DIY indie feminist music festival. She has also written columns for Punk Planet, Fag School, and Shojo Beat. Allison currently lives in Los Angeles where she has started a new band and is working on an oral history of riot grrrl.

Reader Bio: Kim Cooper

When the third generation Angeleno isn’t combing old newspapers for forgotten scandals, she is a passionate advocate for historic preservation of signage, vernacular architecture and writer’s homes. Between 1992 and 2006, Kim was the editrix of Scram, a journal dedicated to “rooting out the cashews in the bridge mix of unpopular culture.” Career highlights include lunching with Rod McKuen, holding Tiny Tim’s freakishly soft hands and reuniting The Music Machine.
